EZY Printcost gathers data simply and effectively giving you all the tools necessary to create the right price for your customer, and the right price for your business.  Time that was previously spent on estimating and administration can now be channelled into creating new business and following up old leads.

Add items to a job in time sheets

EZY Printcost’s Job Costing module allows you to enter information to the job bag at a later date, perhaps as you enter the time sheets.  These late entries will automatically appear on the original order so that any future repeats of the job will include all relevant data.

Entering time sheets

EZY Printcost is flexible to the point where times can be entered whenever the need arises, whether that’s live from a PC or workstation on the factory floor, or later from time sheets supplied by the factory.  An entry screen designed to suit the requirements of your business can be created, where you can log the staff member doing the work, the type of work in progress and any problems encountered.  Also, times can be entered one process at a time, staff daily time sheets at a time, or the start and finish times where the system will then calculate the actual times.  The options are numerous and designed to fit your way or working.

Monitor staff performance

The performance indicators within EZY Printcost can provide a monthly comparison of time worked over a 12 month period.  It can also produce reports that show the working times of staff, and compare estimated working hours against actual hours worked.

Monitor machine performance

EZY Printcost allows you to view scheduled times per machine against the actual work produced.  This feature can prove useful in pinpointing future maintenance issues, or perhaps justifying new plant purchases.

Charge work out at correct hourly rates

EZY Printcost allows you to charge your staff out at different hourly rates.  If an urgent job requires a higher skilled member of staff to produce it, then charge for it.

Automatically mark jobs as ready for Invoice

A completed job can be marked ready for invoice, even if you don’t bill the customer until the end of the month.  It makes invoicing a very quick end-of-the-month task as well as providing an important detail to your Performance Indicators from a staff, job delivery and cost difference point of view.

Compare estimates to actual costs

Comparison reports can be generated on any work completed over any period of time.  Comparisons between estimated and actual costs are possible by job, process, material, machine, customer, or staff member.

Although our software is PC-based, we do understand that many print shops make use of the design capabilities of Macs.  Therefore entry of times sheets from a Mac are as simple as from PC.
